What is (Brachioplasty) Arm Lift?

Weight fluctuations, genetics, and aging often cause changes in the body, including the upper arms. The arms, like many other areas of the body, can experience loosening of the tissue and skin, causing a sagging look, sometimes referred to as “bat wings.”

Arm lift surgery, also referred to as Brachioplasty, removes the excess skin and fat from the underside of the upper arms, typically from elbow to armpit. Your surgeon will carefully remove the tissue while tightening the arms, resulting in a more sculpted, youthful appearance.

FAQs

How is an arm lift procedure performed?

An arm lift procedure is performed by removing extra skin and subcutaneous tissue (fat) from the inner arm, typically from elbow to armpit. Depending on the recommendations of your surgeon, liposuction may also be recommended. A typical arm lift results in a scar from the elbow to the armpit which is concealed within the inner aspect of the arm, and occasionally within the armpit.
